UN reslostinss against Israeli regime  and all of them has vetoed by USA regime !
if any regime done and has such record %99 UN , NATO and western countries

Day softens comments on
                    Mideast conflict
                    WebPosted Fri May 11 12:21:09 2001

OTTAWA - Canadian Alliance leader Stockwell
Day has toned down his controversial stand
on violence in the Middle East.

INDEPTH: Middle East - Quest For Peace

Day told the House of Commons Friday that
he condemns terrorism on both sides of the
                    conflict, backtracking from previous
comments that appeared to favour Israel in the
                    eight-month-old uprising.

"The cycle of violence must end," Day said,
expressing sadness over the recent deaths of
a four-month-old Palestinian baby and two
                    Israeli teenagers.

"The Canadian Alliance supports the right of
the state of Israel to exist within safe and
secure borders and the right of Palestinian
                    people to negotiate for self-government
                    through the peace process."

                         FROM MAY 10, 2001: Canadian-Arab group
                         threatens Day with lawsuit

                    The National Council on Canada-Arab
Relations has threatened Day with a lawsuit
over remarks he made in a speech to the
Canadian Jewish Congress this week, which
the council says suggested that Israel has the
moral high ground in the conflict.

The council said that in the speech, Day also
blamed Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat for
                    violating ceasefire agreements and inciting
                    hatred and terrorism.

Canadian-Arab group
                    threatens Day with lawsuit
                    WebPosted Thu May 10 08:35:30 2001

                    OTTAWA - A Canadian-Arab group says it
plans to sue Canadian Alliance leader
Stockwell Day over remarks it says could
                    incite hatred against Arabs.

Speaking to the Canadian Jewish Congress
this week, Day blamed the Palestinians for the
crisis in the Middle East, saying Israel has the
                    moral high ground.

                    Dr. Atif Kubursi, the
                    head of the
                    National Council on
                    Canada-Arab
                    Relations, says
                    Day should pay for
                    the remarks in
                    more than just the
                    political sense.

He says the council will evaluate any
apologies or regrets, but so far they have not
                    heard anything.

Canada ready to walk out on
                    racism forum
                    WebPosted Wed Sep 5 12:24:25 2001

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA - Canada is no longer
considering whether it should walk out on an
international conference on racism, but rather
                    when it should leave.

                         BACKGROUNDER: United Nations World
                         Conference Against Racism

                    That time could
                    come on
                    Wednesday, as the
                    delegation led by
                    Multiculturism
                    Minister Hedy Fry is
                    ready to abandon
                    hope that language
                    offensive to Jews
and Israel can be removed from the text of an
                    agreement being negotiated.

"I think we have to give it the good try, but there
comes a time when you have to make your
decisions about whether it is going to be an
impossible task," Fry said on Tuesday.

The United Nations Conference Against Racism
has been dogged by controversy since before it
                    started in Durban, South Africa.

Neither Canada nor the United States sent their
top foreign affairs officials to the conference.

The U.S. and Israeli delegations walked out on
                    Monday, complaining the conference had
become a vehicle for anti-Israel rhetoric.

FROM SEPT. 4: Manley critical of racism
                         conference

On Tuesday, Foreign Affairs Minister John
Manley, in London at a meeting of
Commonwealth foreign ministers, said the entire
conference has been counterproductive in the
battle to end race-based problems around the
                    world.

                                           "It hasn't been a
                                           good experience for
                                           the world
                                           community," he said.
                                           "It is not a good
                                           experience for the
                                           United Nations and I
                                           hope we don't have
                                           to see this again."

In Ottawa, Opposition Leader Stockwell Day
                    demanded Canada recall its delegation.

"Hedy should come home, the Canadian
delegation should come home," Day said. "That's
the best way to be seen as an honest broker and
not to be promoting something that is
                    unbalanced."

But human rights groups don't agree that
Canada should walk away from the talks.

Alex Neve, secretary general for Amnesty
                    International, says the Canadian government
team should "stay there until the bitter end and
do everything that can be done until the final
moment to ensure that this is a meaningful
                    opportunity to deal with racism."

Observers expect Canada leave Durban on
Wednesday. That would leave enough time since
the American withdrawal so it won't appear to be
following Washington's lead, and before a
possible European Union decision to leave.
